Scope and Content
This collection consists of photographs of tourist sites in Zurich and Paris and of damage to buildings and landscape in post-World War II Germany. The photos were collected by a soldier in the United States Army. The photos also show American soldiers at work and play. Of special note are copies of stereo photographs from Die NS-Musterbetriebe, a book which exalted Nazi Germany's Model Company Act. The collection also includes postcards from Germany and France, one letter written in German, U.S. postage stamps, U.S. Army leave passes, and French and Italian money.
